July Update- Artwork, surveys and new things.

Artwork has been sent and final proofs arrived.

Hello everyone, we are just sending a quick update about what is happening.  We have sent off the artwork for final printing as per schedule. Also the milk chocolate has been ordered and is being sent to the manufacturer for placement.  Final proofs have been sent back to check for alignments, colours and steadiness, they look gorgeous. :)

 We have taken suggestions from last year's designs and have improved on the puzzle colours and wording.   One thing we are really proud of this year is the new sleeves. It really gives the new designs a nice pop, what we really do love is the printed wood texture and bow, its looks very pretty.

Surveys

We will be sending out surveys for delivery address within the next week. Sorry for the delay, we are using Backerkit and want to make sure we are sending out all the correct information. We have also added the possibility to get more add ons. We will be sending the first set of surveys to the early bird backers first and then follow with all of the other pledges later in the week. 

When filling in the survey, please make sure that you using the address you will want the calendars sent too in November. There will be to confirm this when we are ready to deliver.

Other News

From our last Kickstarter we mentioned that we were working on some other Escape Room related projects. We are now ready to start talking about our brand new game, Collabescape- the replayable Escape Room board game.

Most Escape Room in the Box games are played once and then you know the answer. This game has a unique puzzle design that can be used again and again with different answers.

If you enjoy Escape Rooms, puzzles or playing games together, this will be you.  Click this link to get notified of our launch on Kickstarter near the end of July 2021.

Campaign ends, the work begins

First of all, a huge thank to everyone who supported this project, from the smallest pledge to the largest, from our backers from our last campaign and our newest supporters. You all now have yourself a beautiful looking calendar that you can solve and enjoy during the countdown to Christmas. We have been able to reach our goal and more,  including our extra PDF game stretch goal.

It is the end of a campaign and now starts the manufacturing. It's all hands on deck to get these into production now. Calendar artwork has already been sent for review.  We aim to ship these at the end of October to get to you by the beginning of December, we will be in touch with further updates on production.

What now?

Now, we will be sending out surveys to all our backers to collect addresses to be delivered too. This will happen in the next two weeks and we will send an update for when we send them so you can check your email addresses.

We have now joined with Backerkit to handle our pledge manager add ons and new pre order page coming soon.

In the next two weeks, BackerKit will begin collecting funds from you. Now is a great time to check and make sure your payment details are all up-to-date. If payments fail, it could cancel your pledge and you won't get your yummy chocolate and calendars, so please check before it becomes an issue, we don't want you to be disappointed.

BackerKit will also handle the free download of our PDF game, however this will not come in until November as we are getting an artist to 'spruce' the game designs up and make it look awesome for a Christmas Play at Home Escape Game.

New Stretch goals

It has been an amazing journey. 400 backers have made these designs possible, Thank you.

We cannot believe it and are so thankful of the love you have had for our designs. We have ideas and want to keep making more, so if you keep liking them, we will keep designing them.

Only one week to go now.

Apologies for not updating regularly, we have been busy looking at more options for our backers.

To be honest we were not prepared for the huge amount of backers in the first hours of this campaign. We hit our stretch goals so quickly we didn’t have anything extra to offer straight away, however we have learnt, and now have something we can offer our backers. We hope you like them.

More?

Who doesn’t want more puzzles? As some of you may know we have made mobile games for playing at events and we have turned one of our Christmas themes into a PDF for our backers to play during the winter season. Print it for a friend, a family game night or a stocking filler.

The Lost Sleigh is an escape puzzle game where the sleigh crashed during a test flight before Christmas Day. Now stuck in the North Pole you must use what you have around you to figure out a way out of the frozen wasteland.

With this stretch goal we will be able to get an artist to improve our designs and complete this game as a PDF version.

Another calendar?

Our next stretch goal involves a design we have been working on while creating our other calendars. A flat non-chocolate puzzle advent calendar called ‘A Room with a View.’ Using the detachable door mechanic you reveal the gorgeous view behind the frosted windows of this Arctic cabin. 

With different puzzles that are based on shapes and riddles, it will be a beautiful addition to your collection of puzzles to solve. The calendar is the same size as our other calendars, only thinner as it comes without the chocolate, which means it will fit inside the cardboard mailer for your rewards and won’t break the shipping weight price bracket.

We want to keep our backers happy, so we have chosen products that we have available now and will not affect the pledge tiers we have already, in the future we may have other things to offer. We may ask our backers what they would like to see in another update shortly.

Please share and like our Kickstarter project anywhere that you can, it really does help spread the word. It has been because of your support that we have grown this far and we hope to grow more in the future. We will update you shortly with ideas we are working on.

Incredible! We have reached our stretch goals!

This has been an amazing week, we have reached all our stretch goals within  5 days of launching. 

You will now receive your calendars in a more sturdy cardboard mailer. Not only that, it will contain a few puzzles printed  on the inside of the mailer to keep you busy till you start on the calendars. 

A huge thank you to all our backers for getting us funded and more. 

So what does this mean now? To be honest we didn't expect to reach this stretch goal so quick. We are now offering the calendars at the best they can be.  

They are being die cut by professional manufacturers that will coat the calendars with a matt laminate and all the chocolates will have a nice foil effect on the wrapper. The designs has extra glue in so the chocolates will not move from their spaces and the mailers will help secure them till they reach your front door. 

Any extra effects, such as embossing or thicker cardboard would not suit these calendars and any extra features could ruin the design, delay the calendars or be seen as a red herring during gameplay and we do not want to disappoint our backers.

We do have projects we are working on and products that we can add, however is that what our backers would like to see? The last thing we would like to do is upset our backers with a stretch goal or a new add on that they did not want from this campaign.

We will be look into feasible ideas for future goals and add ons during the next days and get back to you shortly. It is nice to know that people want more of these calendars and have spread the word so much that we have now passed our record for number of backers from the first campaign. Thank you! Funded, New tier and stretch goals smashed...

Holy moly, it has been a day, thank you so much for believing in this project!

We are so pleased to see so many people who enjoyed our calendars returning to buy our new themes. We are also seeing new backers finding us for the first time which just makes us overjoyed that the word is spreading. We are so glad people like the idea. 

Please like and share your interest with these calendars wherever you can, tell your friends, tell your neighbours, it all helps. If you keep liking them, we will keep making them.

To be honest we didn't except it to be that quick! 2 hours and we were funded. That's incredible! The early birds went so fast we were not prepared for it. Sorry about that, there was a reward tier missing, it is up now. 

You can now get 1 of each of our new calendar themes in our BOTH tier.

We have also made our way through the first stretch goals which means all calendars will have matt laminate making them nice and glossy and all the chocolates will have gold foiling around the print on the wrapper. Nice.

Sorry with the delay in replies to comments, we have been away from the computer today and will get through them as quick as we can. We really didn't expect it to all happen so fast and will reply to our backers personally with answers and 'thank you's.' We will also place some of the answers in the FAQ's for you.
